2016 Reflections: A Year of Challenges & Growth

Around this time of the year, I reflect on where we started and how we got here. From two guys selling websites to small local businesses, to one of the leading digital analytics firms serving some of the world’s most recognized brands. It might sound cliche, but our development is truly humbling.

For the last several years, we’ve experienced consistent growth in revenue, profitability and most importantly a growing number of amazing E-Norians! And 2016 is no different: record revenues and growth (and we published the Google Analytics Breakthrough book)!

To our customers, this has translated into E-Nor bringing on board more senior talent and maintaining thought leadership in technology and process, to serve you better. (I urge you to let us know when we’re not.) Our commitment is that you’ll continue to work with knowledgeable, smart, fun, hard-working, conscientious, and trusted advisors.

We couldn’t have achieved this success without our wonderful customers, our industry partners, our analytics community (including our competitors!), and our good friends at Google. So thank you all!

Our success and joy are not complete until we share our good fortune. The one number that I’m most proud of is that in 2016, we were able to contribute more than $98,000 to nonprofits and charitable organizations.

When Jack Dorsey, Co-founder of Twitter & Square, noted that “companies have multiple founding moments”, he was referring to the perpetual change and improvements that companies undergo. “In addition to the initial founding of the company, there are subsequent founding moments when the team comes together to create something special and as a result the company is never the same”. And this can’t be any closer to the truth for E-Norians.

After we lost our co-founder and dear friend Shiraz Asif earlier in 2016, our amazing team members came together, stepped up to the challenge, filled in the great gap that Shiraz left, and then recovered with a great sense of ownership to take E-Nor to a new level, exactly how Shiraz would have liked. Shiraz, you’re always on our minds.

To the E-Nor family: I want to thank each one of you for your friendship and for your support when I needed it most, for staying ahead of the curve in this fast-paced industry, and, above all, for taking care of our clients as our topmost priority and our ongoing mission.

Happy Holidays!
