Ever wanted to know more about your websites? Check out Compete.com

For those of you that love to see details about websites, this is one that you don't want to miss. It's called Compete.com and its data comes from several different sources, including ISPs.

At a glance it works just as something like the rankings at Alexa.com would, but it's much more than that. With the tool at Compete.com, you can break this information down to see the number of unique visits, and even show the data as the number of persons.

Another really neat feature is being able to see which search terms were the most popular used when finding the website in the search engines. I decided to check this out and was somewhat surprised by the results for wikipedia.org.

Possibly my favorite feature of this whole thing is being able to see the data without having to go to the website. Their handy little toolbar will let you see the information in search results. In addition, you can just click a button on the toolbar to show the information for the page you are currently on.

This is probably my favorite new tool on the internet right now, as you can compare different websites against eachother and see shifts in trends over time. If you have a chance to check it out, you can find it all at Compete.com.
