Google Optimize Out of Beta – Free Testing For Everyone
Today Google announced that their free a/b testing product, Google Optimize, is out of beta and fully accessible by all users! Now savvy data enthusiasts within any size organization have the ability to create and launch experiments with little to no technical overhead. Advanced testers will enjoy rich user targeting and developer-friendly editing capabilities as well.
Our clients have been very happy with Google’s latest testing and personalization tool. In a recent case study, APMEX, one of the nation’s largest precious metals retailers, found great success when testing with Optimize 360 (the licensed, enterprise-level edition). Andrew Duffle, their Director of Analytics, found that Optimize enabled them with the capability to build better online experiences for their customers.
APMEX makes heavy use of Optimize 360’s redirect testing, WYSIWYG editor, cookie-based targeting, and more features that are in common with the free Google Optimize. Where APMEX makes use of the 360-level capabilities is in features like audience targeting from Google Analytics data and the ability to run more tests simultaneously.
According to Duffle: “The opportunities for improvement are endless. All you have to do is ask the questions.”
